The Russian and East European Summer Language Institute (SLI): Visit the SLI Website for an overview of the programs both abroad and in Pittsburgh, or for application instructions.   

We will accept applications for most languages through the first day of classes: June 3, 2013. There may still be possibilities for scholarships in some languages.  NO MOSCOW APPLICATIONS CAN BE ACCEPTED AFTER APRIL 8.

These events were open to SLI students and the public.

NEW in 2012: Project GO!  Major scholarships (tuition and living stipends for Summer Russian language study in Pittsburgh and Pitt-Moscow for ROTC students. 

BALSSI - Baltic Studies Summer Institute 2012-2014

The Baltic Studies Summer Institute (BALSSI), part of the Summer Language Institute offers intensive Beginning and Intermediate-level Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian languages courses. Visit the SLI homepage for details about all summer language offerings.

Project GO! Summer scholarships for ROTC students
Project GO Fellowships are available on a competitive basis to students enrolled in an Army, Navy, or Air Force ROTC program at any US college or university.
