Congratulations to Dr. Renáta Kamenárová, who received a Medal of Achievement from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia on August 14, 2024. This honor recognizes her many years as lead author of the Krížom-Krážom Slovak language textbooks and her extensive contributions to the Studia Academica Slovaca (SAS) Program.
Teaching Assistant Professor Renáta Kamenárová, Ph.D., serves as Director of the University of Pittsburgh's Slovak Studies Program; which is the only university-level Slovak language program in North America, and home of the annual Slovak Heritage Festival, which will return to the Cathedral of Learning on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
