Elizaveta Grishechkina

Elizaveta Grishechkina is a PhD student in the joint Slavic and Film and Media Studies program at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests include gender and queer studies within Soviet culture, underground literature of the 1970s–1980s, and the poetic strategies of Soviet female authors. She has presented at international conferences on topics such as gender transgression in Soviet underground art and the transformation of the elegy genre in underground Leningrad poetry. She received her BA in Philology from the Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia) and her MA in Intermedial Studies of Russian Literature from the Higher School of Economics (Saint Petersburg, Russia).
